Each year our Council office will receive numerous requests for funding through the city’s expense and capital application procedure. As such please find all critical dates, links, procedures and deadlines for Fiscal Year 2015. After reviewing this notice, if you have any added questions please do not hesitate to contact our office.
To be considered eligible for funding, your organization must be a not-for-profit (501c3) organization with a registered Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) provided by the IRS. Your organization must also be registered with the New York State charities bureau. To submit your application please click on the following link http://council.nyc.gov/html/budget/fy_15application.shtml. To be eligible, the expense funding application must be submitted online by March 21, 2014.
In addition to the expense application procedure outlines above, the city also provides the opportunity for capital funding for qualified applicants. If your not-for-profit organization is applying through our Council Office, the deadline to submit your proposal, at the above link, is April 9, 2014.
Finally, the Queens Borough President also accepts applications for expense and capital funding. The deadline to submit your application to the Queens Borough President’s office is February 27, 2014.
