Paul Vallone, Democratic candidate for the 19th City Council seat, received the endorsements of state Senator Mike Gianaris and Assemblymember Aravella Simotas on June 25.
Gianaris said, “I have known Paul Vallone for many years and am confident he is the right person to serve in the city council. Paul has represented the people of Queens as a lawyer and as a community organizer for his entire life. His dedication to community service makes him a fantastic choice for city council and I am proud to support him.”
Simotas said, “I am proud to endorse Paul Vallone for city council. His proven track record as a community advocate will be critical in serving the needs of Northeast Queens. Paul is committed to making our schools strong and our streets safe, and under his leadership families can be assured that their voice will be represented at City Hall.”
“I am so thankful to have the support of two outstanding elected officials and even better friends, Mike Gianaris and Aravella Simotas. Both Mike and Aravella embody the same Democratic principles and commitment to public service and [sic] that I will bring to the 19th City Council seat. I look forward to building on our relationships in the years ahead,” said Vallone.
