Commenting on his recent appointment as chair of the City Council’s Subcommittee on Senior Centers, Councilmember Paul Vallone (D–Bayside) said that coupled with that he is also a member of the Aging Committee and he “can play a dramatic role overseeing all issues facing our senior community”.
Vallone, an attorney, pointed out, “I have worked for over 22 years as an elder law and general practice attorney and I believe I can bring considerable knowledge and real experience to this committee. I understand the issues and concerns facing our seniors and am very aware of the resources the city provides on a daily basis to ensure a dignified and proper quality of life for all seniors.”
